We encourage biodiversity by supporting causes close to our heart. Our long-term commitment with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation supports their efforts to protect against species extinction, engage local communities and fight wildlife crime; rebalancing our ecosystem for a healthier planet that improves everyone’s quality of life.
To date, DSWF have invested over £12.5 million in frontline conservation projects that battle the drivers of wildlife crime and protect endangered species from extinction.
Through their field-based partners in Africa and Asia, they have covered and protected 180,000 km of wildlife habitat by rangers on foot patrols, removed over 10,000 snares, seized over 200kg of ivory, facilitated 17,000 children to participate in education programs, and supported 18,000 people living alongside wildlife with community initiatives.

We have calculated the carbon footprint of our products based on our supply chain, industry standards and best practices and use this information to purchase carbon credits using blockchain technology, an advanced database mechanism that allows transparent information sharing for recording transactions, tracking assets, and building trust.
A first in beauty, Opalore secures stock in multiple projects that are certified and verified by Gold Standard to de-risk and diversify our carbon offset portfolio, including investments that support gender equality, life-on-land, good health and wellbeing, and quality education.
Developed under the leadership of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), and other NGOs, Gold Standard is a voluntary carbon offset program focused on progressing the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG’s) and ensuring that the projects we support really do achieve the CO² reductions and co-benefits they claim to achieve for immediate and long-term climate action.
Conscious of the choices we make and our impact on the environment, we are constantly reviewing and evolving our practices to become the most considered and considerate brand we can be. It is a work-in-progress as we aim to do and be better each year, striving to improve our packaging, minimise waste and offset business operations so that by 2030 we can reach net-zero.
